Bookmarks

I hope everybody is having a great week! I can't believe that tomorrow is the first of August, where has the time gone?! For these book marks I used cardboard cut out of cereal boxes, I am always thinking about the environment and recycling! I then covered the cardboard with the paper that I decorated. I couldn't decorated them too much because then they wouldn't sit in a book properly, so that was a challenge!

It's kind of hard to see the sayings but the first one says, "It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light." and the second one says, "Fairy tales are more than true not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten." I think these quotes are very inspiring and perfect for a bookmark!

Every Inchie Monday: Wild

I think the topic this week was a pretty easy one because there were so many things you could represent that are wild. The first thing I thought of was the wild west with cowboys on horses and stuff like that. I'm not really a fan of those kinds of movies though. This is of the desert with the sun rising/setting behind it with a cactus in the background. I hope you have a great day!

Gingerbread Man

Yay more Christmas cards, I really love making Christmas cards but it's hard to get into the mood with this heat! This is my first card for being on the design team at {pin}spirational. {Pin}spirational is a great challenge blog where the picture inspires you to make a card. This cute gingerbread cutting file is from The Cutting Cafe, who is one of our sponsor. Our other sponsor this month is Inky Impressions. There is also a chance to win prize pack if you join!

For this card I tried to make my little gingerbread man look like the one in the centre of this wreath. I hope this image inspires you as much as it inspired me, if it did show us what you created at {Pin}spirational! Have a great day!

Every Inchie Monday: Fantasy

The topic "fantasy" at Every Inchie Monday was a tricky one because there are so many options to do! So, I decided to represent as many fantasy creatures as I could in one square inch. The eye represents a cyclops (the creatures that only have one eye), the tail is a mermaid, there is a wizards staff, a witch's hat and a unicorn horn.

A Red, White and Blue Dragonfly

How is everybody? I hope your summer is going well. At Scrappy Frogs our challenge is Red, White and Blue, it would be great for any fourth of July cards if you're American. For me it was hard to find the right digi to use for the colours, so I ended up using one of my rubber stamps, something I haven't done in a while. Have a good week!

Every Inchie Monday: Friendship

This week at Every Inchie Monday the topic is friendship. I thought it would be hard to show friendship through a drawing so drew a friendship bracelet instead. Did you ever have one when with your best friend as a child? I don't remember if I did or not. I hope you have a great day!

Every Inchie Monday: A Story

I hope everyone had a great weekend! For the topic "story" I made a little book and glued it onto my square inch. For the cover I found a really small stamp and stamped on a bunch of flowers. Right away I thought of the title "One In A Million" so I coloured in one of the flowers.

The "book" actually opens too, here is a picture of it opened. For the inside it's just scribbled lines. Come and see other interpretations of "a story" at Every Inchie Monday.
Have a good day!

Every Inchie Monday: Hour

Happy Canada Day, to everyone who lives in Canada! At Every Inchie Monday the topic is hour. The only thing I could think of is an hour glass. I couldn't find any sand, so I improvised and used glitter glue, I think it worked! The background is watercolour paint. Have a good week!
